Maud runs her own food PR consultancy and PR training business, Maud Davis PR and shares tips from her own blog on public relations.
She is a marketing communications and media relations specialist and in between handling PR for her food clients, she trains and mentors others through face to face workshops and e-learning sessions.
Her training clients range from account handling teams in PR and Marcomms agencies to communications departments in public, private and not for profit sectors including WWF, Lidl, Mobitel, NHS Berkshire, OFWAT and Cardiff University.
She works with the PR Academy leading CIPR Professional PR Certificate and Foundation Certificate and presents on the Introduction to PR MOOC. She lecturers at the London College of Communication and regularly gives talks to inspire others.
Maud began her career as a consumer journalist for Good Housekeeping magazine and then moved in to the London consultancy sector to work with Richmond Towers, Nexus and Hill and Knowlton. During her 15 years in consultancy, she handled the communications for Kellogg’s, AEG, Slimming World, Danepak, Royal College of Midwives, PDSA and Filippo Berio amongst others.
She serves on the CIPR Marcomms Group, is a business mentor/trainer with the Prince’s Trust and a mentor on the Government’s GCS talent programme and is a CIPD and ILM qualified trainer.
