Going For Gold – How to create, plan and deliver award-winning work - 5 CPD Points
This interactive workshop and masterclass from the CIPR Education and Skills Group is designed to inspire, inform and help you give your projects, campaigns and initiatives the award-winning Midas touch. It isn’t simply education specific and will cover a wide range of award types across PR, communications, internal comms and marketing and is open to everyone.
The session will look at what makes an award-winning project and how you can organise your thinking, resources, team work and evaluation to help you achieve award-winning status.
Everyone always says it isn’t about the winning, it’s the taking part that matters, but if you’re keen to maximise your time and impact and to learn how to make that effort work for you in upcoming projects, this event is for you.
The session will include a walk through of how to select, approach and develop your entries and what to look out for at all stage of the process. You’ll also learn to identify the common pitfalls and how to cut through the noise and make an impact with the judges.
If you’ve ever thought about where to start, or wondered why entries you’ve made haven’t quite hit the mark, why not take a couple of hours to listen, reflect and absorb best practice and to think about how you can really make your mark in 2018. The session will include interactive elements to keep you involved and help you shape your own personal plan for awards success.
Going for Gold will be run by multi-award winning CIPR President Elect 2018 Emma Leech. Emma has led several teams to awards success over a career spanning nearly 30 years. In 2017 alone, her team won no less than thirty awards for their work including a CIPR Excellence Award, an IOIC National Award, a CASE Grand Gold, two PRCA National Awards, five CIPR Pride Awards and a staggering eight Heist Awards.
