Join the CIPR North East Committee on Thursday, March 8th, between 5.30pm and 7.30pm, in the Digital Lounge of the Tyneside Cinema, for the group's Annual General Meeting.
As the event falls on International Women's Day, we are delighted to welcome the next CIPR President Sarah Hall, as our speaker for the evening. Sarah is a great advocate for women in the Public Relations industry, and has campaigned in particular on closing the gender pay gap.
In addition to hearing from Sarah on her plans for her term as CIPR President, this is a great opportunity to find out more about what the North East committee has achieved over the past 12 months and its plans for future, as well as giving you the chance to make your voice heard on what you'd like to see the group deliver in the months to come.
As well as drinks, light refreshments and networking opportunities, the committee will also be holding an election for membership. If you'd like to put yourself forward to volunteer your time to help shape the PR scene in the North East, please email Jule Wilson, Acting Secretary of the committee, by 5.30pm on Thursday, March 1st, to receive a nomination form. You can reach her at Jule@JuleWilson.com.
This CIPR members-only event is free to attend and we hope to see many familiar faces, as well as welcoming new members.
