CIPR International spotlights Latin America

Ricardo Carioni, Deputy Chief of Mission at the Embassy of Nicaragua to the UK and Ireland, and Chairman and Director of the Latin American Trade and Investment Association, is to give CIPR Internationals Maggie Nally Memorial Lecture keynote address for 2018.

Taking place at the beautiful One Great George Street, Westminster, London SW1P 3AAk, during the evening of 17 May 2018, the Maggie Nally Memorial Lecture represents a must-attend event in every PR professional’s diary. The lecture will be followed by a drinks reception and dinner. One Great George Street is a magnificent Grade 11 listed Edwardian building, in the heart of Westminster, boasting a rich neo-Palladian and Baroque interior. It has witnessed the filming of many movies such as Ghandi and Bridget Jones, some high profile weddings and the signing in 1945 of the UNESCO founding charter.

In his address, Carioni will draw from his extensive experience of the diverse landscape of communication in Latin America and the development of the PR industry across the region. It will also offer unique insight into what can be learned from this diverse group of countries and how businesses can communicate effectively within Latin America.

This is an important fixture on the annual communications calendar, attracting leading personalities from the in house and agency world. This flagship annual event, organised by CIPR International, is held in memory of Maggie Nally, the CIPR's first female president and a leading public relations figure of her time. She co-founded CIPR's Greater London Group, served on the CIPR International committee and was awarded the Sir Stephen Tallents Medal in 1987.
