Are you ready to change the conversation about internal communication?
We are. Which is why our next CIPR Inside conference will address the big challenges our profession needs to overcome to remain relevant in the future.
From ethics to reputation, engagement to leadership, our role is evolving. And it’s only through changing the conversation that we’ll finally establish internal communications as a strategic function, working in collaboration with others to drive organisational success.
If you’re ready to change the conversation, then join us at this year’s conference.
This year we are in the beautiful city of Birmingham at the stunning Town Hall. The venue is steeped in amazing history which we will be sharing more about in the coming months.
We have created a programme that we feel will give you an opportunity to learn and have more meaningful conversations without a conveyor belt of presentations. We want you to get to know each other and start to share ideas / thoughts, so we have made sure we have space for that throughout the day, including a mastermind session and mini workshops.
To support us we have some amazing speakers who will be giving top tips, advice and their thoughts on why, how and what we need to do to change the conversation.
To help set the scene and share why we need to change the conversation, we are very excited to welcome Chuck Gose, founder and host of the popular IC podcast ICology and Strategic Advisor for Social Chorus. Chuck is flying in especially from the USA to take part in our conference and we just couldn't be more thrilled. Those who have followed Chuck for a number of years will be aware of his absolutely brilliant podcast, ICology. A fantastic resource which encourages communicators to start the conversation on how they can do more and be more.
Sharing her advice on how we can start to change the conversation we have the one and only, Rachel Miller. Rachel is Director of All Things IC and advises Internal Communicators via training, consultancy and her popular blog, which has recently just celebrated its tenth birthday. Her clients include ARM, BBC, LEGO, NHS, Transport for London and British Red Cross. She’s a highly experienced and multiple award-winning practitioner who has trained hundreds of Comms pros via her monthly and bespoke Masterclasses. Communicators say working with her increases their skills and boosts their knowledge and confidence.
Telling us what we need to do in order to change the conversation we have Katie Macaulay, from AB Thinks. Katie will be covering the hot topic of internal and external convergence and what it means for IC practitioners going forward. With more than 25 years’ experience in communications Katie, who is AB’s Managing Director, has worked in almost every industry sector in both corporate and agency roles. Katie is also the author of From Cascade to Conversation and the host of the popular IC podcast, ‘The Internal Comms Podcast.’
We will be announcing more speakers and workshop hosts over the next few weeks.
We will be kicking off the day at 9.30am with registration and networking. The conference will begin at 10am and will finish at 5.30pm. For those of you who don’t have to head home straight away there will be a chance to carry on the conversation at a local hotel bar until 7pm.
It promises to be a great event so we really hope to see you there.
