A few days ago a quarter of a million people lined the streets to celebrate Leicester City’s coronation as Premier League champions. It’s hard to find an appropriate adjective that hasn’t been over-used to describe the ‘fairytale’ ‘miracle’ of Leicester’s triumph, and this might lead you to think that all is well in the world of sport. But this is not the case.

The Chartered Institute of Public Relations (CIPR) interim editorial board, chaired by Rob Brown FCIPR, CIPR President Elect 2015, has prepared plans for communications following the ending of the Institute’s deal with PRWeek. There has been a review of CIPR owned channels which include: member and non-member email, the CIPR Conversation, the main CIPR website and extensive social channels.

The CIPR has discontinued its partnership agreement with Haymarket Publishing for the distribution of PRWeek to members, and management of the online CIPR Jobs website. CIPR members will no longer receive print copies of PRWeek or have access to PRWeek online after the December 2014 edition.

Rob Smith, 10:21AM, 1 December 2015 Introducing... Influence

The first edition of Influence – the CIPR’s new Member Magazine – arrives on members’ doorsteps at the end of January 2016. The magazine, which is to be sent free and exclusively to CIPR members, will be published quarterly in hard copy and supported by a dedicated web platform with high quality journalism about (and for) the public relations profession.

CIPR, 8:39AM, 29 September 2015 Editorial Board

The CIPR Editorial Board was appointed by the CIPR Board of Directors in September 2015. Its job is to commission content and develop an editorial tone and voice for the CIPR's new magazine about public relations. The first edition will be published in January 2016.
